Treasure Island

I woke up today feeling fresh. We went into breakfast and about halfway through, the play room woman came in and announced, “we are starting school lessons today at 9.30 in the play room so be sure to be there.” Well it couldn’t be too bad.

So a little before 9.30 we turned up at the play room. Then we were told to go along to “B” deck square. When we got there half of it was curtained up. We went behind the curtain. This was the school. There were two long tables to fit 12 each, and some little tables put together. All it was, was drawing a map of a Treasure Island or a picture of a rock ape. I chose the former but made a mess of it.

After school we swam in the pool. Just as we came out from lunch somebody said there’s an aircraft carrier and a plane has just landed on it so we ran as quick as we could to “A” deck but it was just visible on the horizon. We then went swimming again until dinner time and after dinner we went in again.

Then mum and dad went to the Captain’s cocktail party. Then they went to dinner and wore party hats. We have passed Sardinia.
