They were very busy, and short-staffed in the kitchen. At first they refused to even take our food order, which was a little frustrating. It was not as if we could pick and choose where to eat.
Eventually we were served, and it was well worth the wait. My spinach mushroom and ricotta risotto cake with chervil butter sauce and tossed leaves was an inspiration, albeit a little pricey at £12.95 and Dave’s fish was delicious too. We spied the little marmalade pots lined up in the restaurant and decided this would be a good place to have breakfast in the morning.
